Bai Qingxue struggled to her feet, wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth. Her gaze remained icy and unyielding as she condensed an ice sword in her hand once more, though its light was dim: "If you're going to kill me, then kill me. Why waste words? The Bai family doesn't die on their knees."
"Good! You've got spine!" Yu Chenzi smiled grimly. "Then I'll grant your wish!"
Cyan sword energy condensed once more, carrying an aura of destruction as it slashed down at her head.
This strike was fueled by his rage, holding nothing back, determined to kill Bai Qingxue on the spot!
Bai Qingxue knew she couldn't block it. A trace of resolve flashed in her eyes as she prepared to fight to the death, intending to at least grievously wound her opponent.
At that critical moment—
"Hummm—!"
The golden pillar of light not far away suddenly erupted with intense radiance once more.
This time, the light didn't shoot toward the clouds. Instead, it transformed into an incredibly condensed golden beam that arrived after launching yet struck first, precisely colliding with the side of Yu Chenzi's cyan sword energy aimed at Bai Qingxue.
"CLANG—!"
A tremendous sound like clashing metal rang out.
The golden beam actually deflected that seemingly invincible cyan sword energy, sending it veering off course to slam into a nearby magnetic stone, shattering the zhang-tall black rock to pieces!
"Who's there?!" Yu Chenzi was both shocked and furious, whipping his head toward the golden pillar.
From the northeastern horizon, a white line streaked toward them at a speed beyond comprehension.
It wasn't escape light, but a flow of energy condensed to the extreme—composed purely of sword qi! Wherever this stream passed, the poisonous miasma in the sky was torn apart and purified by an invisible sharp force, leaving behind a brief but clear vacuum trail!
"This is... Sword Energy Transforming into Rainbow?! Such pure sword intent!" Yu Chenzi's heart shook violently. The newcomer's sword dao cultivation, in terms of purity and speed alone, was enough to make even him, a Golden Core cultivator, feel a chill.
In the blink of an eye, that white sword rainbow had crossed the sky and appeared above the battlefield. It didn't directly attack Yu Chenzi, but instead traced a perfect arc around the area where Bai Qingxue stood, swift and graceful.
"Hummm—!"
The instant the arc completed, a crystalline ice-blue sword curtain appeared out of thin air—thin as a cicada's wing yet radiating bone-piercing cold—firmly protecting Bai Qingxue and Little Snow within.
Yu Chenzi's delayed cyan sword energy struck the ice-blue sword curtain with a heavy thud. The curtain rippled violently, countless waves spreading across its surface, yet it held firm without breaking!
"Who are you?!" Yu Chenzi shouted furiously, his gaze locked onto where the sword rainbow had come from.
The sword rainbow hovered, its light withdrawing to reveal the figure within. It was unexpectedly a youth who appeared no more than sixteen or seventeen years old!
The youth wore a simple moon-white sword-sleeved robe, his posture straight as a pine. His features still held a trace of youthful naivety, yet he was remarkably handsome. His eyes especially—clear and bright—now held an iciness and sharpness beyond his years, like a cold blade hidden in its sheath.
He wasn't standing on a flying sword but suspended in mid-air. That astonishing sword rainbow from before seemed to have been manifested from his own sword intent.
Beside him, a sheathed longsword floated quietly. The scabbard was antique, pale blue with ice patterns flowing across it. Though undrawn, it already emanated a piercing sword intent that made one's skin crawl with cold.
The youth's gaze swept over the gravely wounded Bai Qingxue below. A flash of heartache and anger crossed his eyes. Then he raised his gaze, looking coldly at Yu Chenzi, his voice clear yet carrying bone-chilling frost: "Zixiao Yu Family, such grand prestige. Hurting my sister warrants death."
His voice wasn't loud, yet it reached everyone's ears clearly, carrying an unquestionable resolve.
"Sister?" Yu Chenzi was momentarily stunned, then realized and his killing intent intensified. "You're Bai family vermin? Bai Qingxue's younger brother?"
His spiritual sense swept over the youth, and his heart settled somewhat. Though the youth's aura was incredibly sharp and his sword intent terrifyingly pure, his spiritual energy fluctuations indicated his cultivation hadn't yet reached Golden Core—roughly at peak Foundation Establishment.
A Foundation Establishment brat, no matter how talented in sword dao, what could he do?
"Arrogant junior!" Yu Chenzi suppressed that inexplicable chill in his heart and sneered. "A mere Foundation Establishment dares speak such nonsense before me? Perfect—today I'll capture you siblings together and send you to reunite underground!"
Before his words finished, Yu Chenzi had already struck.
He knew well that sword cultivators had terrifying attack power, especially this youth whose sword intent was so pure. He absolutely couldn't let him draw his sword at leisure.
He brought both hands together, and three massive lightning spears composed entirely of cyan thunder instantly condensed before him. Each one contained violent, destructive power. Arranged in a triangular formation, they tore through the air with deafening thunder, exploding toward the youth.
This strike was in earnest, seeking certain death!
Facing the terrifying thunder technique launched in anger by a Golden Core cultivator, the youth's expression didn't change. He didn't even look at the incoming lightning spears.
He simply extended his right hand, index and middle fingers together in a sword gesture, and lightly guided downward toward the antique longsword floating beside him.
"ZHENG—!"
A clear sword cry, resonant as a dragon's roar, rang through heaven and earth.
The pale blue scabbard slid off on its own, revealing a three-chi longsword, crystalline as cold ice, with light flowing across its blade like rippling water.
The instant the sword emerged, the surrounding temperature plummeted. The moisture in the air instantly condensed into tiny ice crystals, drifting down like snow!

It’s funny that she had become so emotionally attached and bonded with the “Charismatic Aura” of Dustin that she herself did not recognise her very own brother and mistook him for the “Young Master Dustin.”
Or the Author did know back then that Bai Qingxue actually had a younger brother!
The thought to create her brother might have been creeped in overnight before or while penning the recent updates, I guess 😊
