The Destruction of the Underground Palace

The massive stone doors of the underground palace rumbled open, revealing a tall white-robed figure standing proudly.

It was Dustin, his hands clasped behind his back, golden light swirling around him, brightening the night like daylight. The black mist that seeped from the door instantly dissolved upon contact with the golden radiance.

“Trying to run?” Dustin’s voice boomed through the passage like thunder. “When you slaughtered tens of thousands of innocents, did you ever think this day would come?”

The Grand Elder’s eyes flashed with malice. He suddenly hurled the piece of human skin in his hand into the air.

“Blood Sacrifice --- Open!”

The skin expanded midair into a massive blood-red curtain, covered with twisted, screaming human faces.

At the same time, the Twelve Venerables struck together. Bone knives, bone whips, and bone spears turned into twelve streaks of blinding light, howling as they tore through the air toward Dustin’s face.

“Petty tricks.” Dustin snorted coldly and casually waved his right hand.

The simple motion stirred up a golden shockwave in front of him.

The twelve bone weapons shattered instantly within the wave, and the Twelve Venerables were sent flying like broken kites, crashing into the stone walls. The blood they spat painted vivid red blossoms on the stone.

The Grand Elder’s pupils shrank sharply. His hands blurred into seals.

“Twelve Heavens of Nether Fiends --- Unite!”

The fallen Twelve Venerables suddenly rose in a twisted, unnatural manner. In an instant, their twelve bodies fused into a towering thirty-foot-tall Bone Demon.

Its eyes burned with eerie green flames, and it wielded a massive battle-axe forged from countless skulls. Toxic fluid dripped from the axe’s edge, sizzling deep pits into the stone floor.

“Witness the might of our cult’s sacred technique!” The Grand Elder’s voice echoed from within the Bone Demon, filled with wild laughter.

The Bone Demon took a heavy step forward, swinging the giant axe with the force to split mountains and crack the earth.

Wherever the axe passed, space rippled and distorted. The vengeful souls clinging to the blade screamed so piercingly it seemed they could tear a person’s soul apart.

Dustin’s expression didn’t change. He slowly raised his right hand. Golden light surged in his palm, condensing into a glowing orb the size of a human head.

Mystical runes flowed across the surface of the orb, and each rotation radiated a pressure that made heaven and earth tremble.

“Break.”

With a calm murmur, the golden orb shot out like a meteor toward the Bone Demon.

The moment they collided, time seemed to freeze.

Then came a blinding burst of golden light that devoured the entire passage. The howls of the evil souls were drowned out as they melted away like snow.

The Bone Demon’s giant axe shattered first, followed by its entire body, disintegrating inch by inch under the golden radiance.

The Twelve Venerables let out a final round of agonized screams before being reduced to dust --- no bodies remained.

From the storm of bone dust, the Grand Elder burst forth, now abandoning any trace of human form. He had transformed into a squirming, fleshy abomination, covered in countless blinking eyes.

“I’ll drag you down with me!” he roared.

With a wet explosion, the meat mass burst apart, transforming into billions of tiny blood threads that surged toward Dustin like a crimson tide.

These threads contained the world’s deadliest poison --- Corrosion Venom --- which could reduce even a Grandmaster to pus in moments if it touched them.

But Dustin’s golden light suddenly surged, forming a massive protective barrier.

The blood threads slammed into the shield and vanished like raindrops falling into the ocean, not even stirring a ripple.

He flicked a finger. A concentrated beam of golden light shot forth and struck directly at the core of the blood mass --- the black bone nucleus.

“No --- !”

A desperate scream echoed through the tunnel. The mass of flesh rapidly shrank under the golden light, revealing the Grand Elder’s original form.

Now powerless to resist, he collapsed to the ground, eyes filled with terror and despair.

Dustin stepped forward, towering over the cult’s chief culprit.

“The Bone Cult’s sins are countless. Today marks your end.”

The Grand Elder suddenly erupted in crazed laughter.

“Hahaha! You think this is over just because you killed us? The Holy Son already knows --- he will avenge us! The entire Dragonmarsh will perish with us!”

Dustin’s eyes turned cold. A flash of golden light from his palm silenced the laughter. The Grand Elder vanished into a wisp of smoke.

With all enemies vanquished, Dustin turned toward the shadowy depths of the underground palace.

This hellish lair had devoured countless innocent lives. The skulls embedded in the stone walls still silently cried out the tragedies of the past.

He took a deep breath and unleashed all his inner power.

Golden light surged like a raging river, sweeping through every corridor. The once-solid stone walls collapsed like paper in its wake.

Altars, chambers, dungeons --- every last trace of evil was obliterated in the storm of gold.

With a final thunderous boom, the entire underground palace --- and the mountain above it --- was reduced to rubble.

As the dust settled, Dustin’s figure had already vanished into the distant sky.

Meanwhile, in a secluded valley a thousand miles away…

The Bone Cult’s Holy Son, deep in meditation, suddenly opened his eyes --- his bone jade pendant cracked and crumbled to dust. - Ton

Interception

Li Guanglong’s fingers gently stroked the ornate box, the chill of its silken surface seeping into his fingertips, yet it could not mask the damp sweat pooling in his palm. He glanced at Murong Xue, who was locked in a drinking contest with Batu. Murong was tilting back his head, draining a large bowl of amber-colored liquor. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, and in the corner of his eye he cast a fleeting glance toward the copper kettle in the corner of the igloo. That was where they had hidden the prepared knockout drug --- brewed from a poisonous herb of the icefields that gave off a sweet aroma. Once mixed into strong liquor, it was nearly impossible to detect. “Leader Batu truly has a mighty capacity for drink!” Murong Xue slammed his empty bowl down on the table, sending ice shards scattering. “This ‘ice-burn’ liquor cuts like a blade. Ordinary men collapse after three bowls, yet you remain unshaken. Truly worthy of being called the eagle of the snowfields!” Batu r...

Seeking Medicine for a Father

When Li Weimin’s decree was issued, reactions across the factions varied. At that moment, Li Wenxing was in his study, weighing the pros and cons of the recent trip to Southern Frontier. Although he hadn’t stood out much, compared to Li Guanglong and Li Juntang, he was still the more capable one. But this minor advantage clearly wasn’t enough to change the overall outcome. Just then, Qian Jin rushed in and reported, “Your Highness! A message from the palace --- His Majesty’s condition has worsened, and he has only a short time left. He has issued a special decree: any royal family member who can journey to Penglai Island and retrieve the elixir will become the future crown prince!” “Future crown prince?” Hearing this, Li Wenxing’s spirits lifted immediately. But soon after, he frowned. He had, of course, heard of Penglai Island --- but only in legends. Whether it truly existed in the East Sea, and whether it held any elixir that could extend life, remained unknown. ...

Frozen Wasteland

The ice sculptures shimmered with a cold light in the biting wind, the soldiers’ twisted faces sealed inside the crystalized frost, as if still crying out from the agony of being frozen alive. Li Guanglong stared at those figures, his Adam’s apple rolling a few times as he forced down the tremor in his chest. He raised a hand to rub his still-stiff arm. The spot that had been swept by the white mist earlier was still faintly bruised with purplish-blue, the chill seeming to seep deep into his very bones. “Your Highness, that spirit deer carries a poisonous cold beyond imagination.” Wan Zhong leaned on his blade as he walked over, the wound on his lone arm having split open again from the cold. Blood seeped through the bandages, dripping scarlet dots onto the snow. He gazed toward where the deer had vanished, his eyes full of dread. “We’d best hold our camp steady for now, and not recklessly provoke the creatures of this island again.” Li Guanglong nodded silently. His earlier ...
