Execution

“Uncle Qian! Who was that just now? How could someone possess such divine power?”

After a moment of stunned silence, Li Wenxing quickly became excited.

With just a wave of the hand, the figure had triggered a celestial phenomenon, completely devouring the red miasma across several kilometers.

That could no longer be called a man --- it was a living god on earth!

“Too far away --- I couldn’t see clearly,” Qian Jin replied, his eyes wide, face still filled with shock.

That figure just now was simply too powerful.

So powerful, in fact, that Qian Jin felt as though he had just seen a deity descend.

He never imagined that in this remote southern frontier, such a terrifyingly powerful being could be hiding in plain sight.

Such divine powers… probably not inferior even to that one from Mount Longhu.

This was truly one man reversing the tides of disaster, single-handedly saving a collapsing world.

“Investigate! Immediately!” Li Wenxing’s face lit up with excitement. “Find out who that man is! If such a powerful being sides with me, I will ascend the throne!”

A cultivator at the level of a god-on-earth could defy fate itself.

If he could make such a powerhouse his ally, he would be unstoppable --- cutting down all who opposed him and claiming the supreme position.

Lincheng, City Lord’s Mansion

Li Guanglong sat in the center with grim authority, radiating killing intent.

Before him, a dozen corrupt officials were kneeling.

When the red miasma broke out, these officials had either done nothing and fled with stolen wealth, or used the chaos to exploit the people.

Each was guilty of monstrous crimes.

Now the red fog was uncontrollable, and the fall of Lincheng was only a matter of time.

Li Guanglong was seething with fury.

He had to vent his rage with blood --- and the lives of these corrupt wretches were the perfect outlet.

“Your Highness! Mercy! Please, Second Prince, have mercy!”

“We’re innocent! We did nothing wrong! You can’t pin all this on us!”

“Yes, Second Prince! We’ve always been loyal! We may not have earned great merit, but we’ve worked hard! If you execute us now, it’s unjust! How will you explain this to the Imperial Court?”

A chorus of pleas and sobs rang out from the kneeling officials.

Behind them stood a row of soldiers with broadswords drawn, eyes cold and murderous.

“Innocent? Loyal? Mercy?”

Li Guanglong sneered and rose to his feet, eyes burning with killing intent as he looked over the groveling officials.
“You filthy rats --- how dare you utter such words? You embezzled, oppressed the people, and when crisis struck the nation, you did nothing --- only stole and fled.”

“Scum like you --- vermin eating away at this country --- deserve death a thousand times over!”

“I’m not just going to kill you. Everyone connected to you will be dragged down and imprisoned!”

He was truly disgusted by these men.

Since arriving in Lincheng, nothing had gone smoothly.

The plague spread uncontrollably. Word got out. Panic overtook the city. Conflicts broke out. Atrocities piled up.

And these so-called local officials? They had done nothing to help --- only sabotaged him at every step, disobeyed orders, and worsened the situation.

At first, he had held back, needing them to maintain order and carry out relief efforts.

But now? The city was beyond saving. He had nothing to lose.

The plague had spread, the red miasma surged beyond control. The city descended into chaos. Civilians fled in terror. Deaths mounted.

He was powerless now --- only fury remained.

“Second Prince! The plague’s spread isn’t our fault!”

“We did everything we could! This is a natural disaster --- beyond saving!”

“You can’t just vent your rage on us because of one failed attempt! We’re innocent!”

Still they cried and argued, slick with excuses, refusing to admit guilt.

“Still trying to defend yourselves? Looks like you won’t shed tears until you see your coffins!”

Li Guanglong gave a vicious grin. “Guards! Kill every last one of these beasts! Let this be a warning to others!”

Schwing! Schwing! Schwing!

Without a word, the grim-faced soldiers drew their blades.

“Second Prince! I was wrong! Spare me!”

“If you kill us, His Majesty will be furious!”

“Li Guanglong, you bastard! I curse you to rot in the eighteenth hell!”

Seeing the drawn swords, the officials finally broke.

Some begged, some threatened with imperial wrath, some simply screamed in rage as they accepted their fate.

“Execute!”

Li Guanglong didn’t bother arguing. He gave a simple wave.

The soldiers didn’t hesitate. Their blades fell.

With a flash of steel, more than ten bloody heads hit the ground, one after another.

Blood sprayed across the hall.

“A pack of worthless scum! Drag them out and feed them to the dogs!” Li Guanglong roared.

A soldier by birth, Li Guanglong had always been decisive and ruthless.

Officials who obstructed, defied orders, and caused such massive losses ---

They all deserved to die. - Ton

Life or Death?

At this moment, Hera was completely terrified. When she saw Dustin effortlessly dissolve her attack, she had already started thinking about retreating. Her instincts told her that Dustin was not someone to be trifled with --- he was an extremely dangerous individual. Still, she clung to a sliver of hope, thinking that with Zeus by her side, the two of them together might still stand a chance. But now, after watching Zeus get severely injured and lose an arm with just one strike, she completely panicked. Her strength was already a bit weaker than Zeus’. If even Zeus couldn’t withstand a single strike from Dustin, there was no way she could either. So, the instant she saw Dustin raise his hand again, Hera didn’t hesitate for even a moment. She pushed off with her feet, launching herself into the air like a streak of light, fleeing rapidly into the sky. At this point, all she wanted was to save her own life. As for Zeus’s survival? That was no longer her concern. Rig...

Transcendent and Otherworldly

A burst of golden light suddenly appeared, neutralizing Zeus’s attack and at the same time saving Margaret from having her cultivation abolished. As the golden light gradually faded, a handsome young man emerged before the crowd. His hair was completely white, his clothes were ragged, but his entire being exuded a transcendent and otherworldly aura. He stood there silently in front of Margaret, like an unshakable mountain. “Dustin?” Seeing the white-haired, handsome man, Margaret finally let out a long breath of relief. She knew she was saved --- and so was everyone in the ancient temple. Although Dustin now had white hair, his appearance hadn’t changed much. But the aura he carried was now touched with an undefinable trace of divinity --- something she had never sensed before. And that alone was enough to prove that Dustin had broken through to a new realm. “You’ve worked hard.” Dustin turned and gave Margaret a gentle nod. A strand of golden light suddenly pou...

Sharing The Remedy

“Well done. It’s thanks to your hard work that the plague in Pucheng was brought under control so quickly.” After listening to Su Lan’s report, Margaret finally let out a breath of relief. The infected had already been quarantined, and with the arrival of renowned doctors capable of treating the sick, much of the pressure had been lifted from her shoulders. Now, all that remained was to root out the remnants of the White Bone Cult --- and the mission would be complete. “All credit goes to your excellent leadership, Boss. No one else could’ve handled this like you,” Su Lan said with a smile. “Don’t start flattering me just yet --- the job’s not done.” Margaret changed the subject. “What’s the status on Pei Nan, the one I asked you to investigate earlier?” “We’ve got something.” Su Lan reported truthfully, “According to our investigation, Pei Nan did indeed go to Wugang City and has been in close contact with several members of a Western cult there. I’ve already dispatch...
