The Five Elements Blood Fiend Formation

Wan Zhong’s roar silenced everyone.

They looked at General Wan, whose eyes were bloodshot and whose body trembled with rage, and for a moment, no one could speak.

They fully understood General Wan’s pain and hatred, which was why they had also reacted so furiously moments ago.

But they had to control their emotions --- this was the basic discipline expected of a soldier.

Until orders were given, no matter how deep the hatred, they had to endure.

However, while they endured outwardly, the fire of anger within them did not diminish in the slightest. Instead, it grew stronger, more intense.

It was only waiting for the moment to explode.

Amidst the heavy atmosphere, three black sedans suddenly sped over and came to a precise stop at the main gate.

Upon seeing the license plate of the leading vehicle, the layers of soldiers guarding the area immediately made way.

Li Guanglong, whom they had long awaited, had finally arrived!

As the car doors opened, Li Guanglong stepped out, followed by five elderly men in traditional Tang suits.

These five elders varied in build --- tall, short, fat, and thin --- but all wore identical attire and exuded powerful, unrestrained auras.

Even standing still, they seemed like towering mountains, radiating intense pressure.

These five were elite powerhouses cultivated by the faction behind Li Guanglong. Four were Grandmasters at the peak of their realm, and the tall, thin leader among them had already reached the Ultimate Grandmaster level.

One Ultimate Grandmaster and four peak Grandmasters --- this lineup could dominate almost any region.

In the entire nation, aside from top-tier sects like the Sword Sect, the Celestial Alliance, and the Mystic Arts Order, no other faction could summon so many top experts at once.

(Of course, supernatural forces like Longhu Mountain were exceptions.)

In terms of martial power, Li Guanglong was the strongest among all the princes. His confidence in competing for the crown prince position came from the powerful support behind him.

“Your Highness! The God King Zeus is still inside, and every incense stick of time, he executes one person. Should we launch an attack now?!”

Upon seeing Li Guanglong get out of the car, Wan Zhong immediately stepped forward to request action.

His hatred had already reached its peak.

“A direct assault would not be wise. Secure all entrances and wait for my command!” Li Guanglong responded with a dark expression.

He had seen the broken corpses at the entrance. In the past, he would’ve gone berserk already.

But he always remembered Eugene Montgomery’s advice --- not to engage the Hall of the Gods in a death match unless absolutely necessary.

Even if they won, the cost would be devastating.

“Master, to prevent accidents, I need you five to form a formation and surround the entire estate,” Li Guanglong said, turning to the tall, thin elder.

“No problem.”

The elder nodded and immediately gave orders: “Second and third, take the north and south positions. Fourth and fifth, take east and west. I will anchor the center. Let’s show those inside what our formation can do!”

“Yes!”

The four elders responded without hesitation. In the blink of an eye, they turned into blurs and flew to their respective positions in the north, south, east, and west, finally standing mid-air.

The tall, thin elder didn’t stay idle either. With a light tap of his foot, he soared to a position directly above the estate.

“Begin the formation!”

The elder called out.

The five simultaneously formed hand seals, their bodies glowing with a blood-red light.

“Rise!”

With the hand seals complete, led by the tall elder, all five pointed fiercely toward the sky.

Five beams of blood light shot out and converged high in the sky, forming a crimson sphere of energy.

As they continued channeling energy into it, the sphere rapidly expanded.

Within just a few breaths, it had grown to a massive five-meter diameter.

And that wasn’t the end.

Once the energy was charged to its peak, all five bit their fingers, formed seals again, and pointed at the glowing red sphere.

Five Elements Blood Fiend Formation --- Activate!

The five shouted in unison.

In the next moment, the sphere burst into radiant light.

A blood-red barrier spread outward from the sphere at lightning speed.

Within just five breaths, the entire estate was enveloped.

From a distance, it looked like a giant red eggshell.

After the formation was completed, the color of the barrier gradually faded until it disappeared entirely --- as if it had never been there.

But that was only an illusion.

With a single thought from the five, the blood-red barrier would instantly reappear.

This was their signature technique --- the Five Elements Blood Fiend Formation!

It was both offensive and defensive and even enhanced the strength of those maintaining it.

Most importantly, they could draw on the power of the formation to boost their cultivation.

Unless someone used force ten times stronger than their combined power, the formation was unbreakable.

“Your Highness, the formation is complete. You can enter with confidence. As long as we five are here, no one can harm you!”

From above, the tall elder’s voice echoed, full of confidence.

“Thank you, Masters!”

Li Guanglong cupped his fists to each of them in gratitude, then strode boldly into the estate alongside his personal guard, General Wan Zhong. - Marinien

Interception

Li Guanglong’s fingers gently stroked the ornate box, the chill of its silken surface seeping into his fingertips, yet it could not mask the damp sweat pooling in his palm. He glanced at Murong Xue, who was locked in a drinking contest with Batu. Murong was tilting back his head, draining a large bowl of amber-colored liquor. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, and in the corner of his eye he cast a fleeting glance toward the copper kettle in the corner of the igloo. That was where they had hidden the prepared knockout drug --- brewed from a poisonous herb of the icefields that gave off a sweet aroma. Once mixed into strong liquor, it was nearly impossible to detect. “Leader Batu truly has a mighty capacity for drink!” Murong Xue slammed his empty bowl down on the table, sending ice shards scattering. “This ‘ice-burn’ liquor cuts like a blade. Ordinary men collapse after three bowls, yet you remain unshaken. Truly worthy of being called the eagle of the snowfields!” Batu r...

Frozen Wasteland

The ice sculptures shimmered with a cold light in the biting wind, the soldiers’ twisted faces sealed inside the crystalized frost, as if still crying out from the agony of being frozen alive. Li Guanglong stared at those figures, his Adam’s apple rolling a few times as he forced down the tremor in his chest. He raised a hand to rub his still-stiff arm. The spot that had been swept by the white mist earlier was still faintly bruised with purplish-blue, the chill seeming to seep deep into his very bones. “Your Highness, that spirit deer carries a poisonous cold beyond imagination.” Wan Zhong leaned on his blade as he walked over, the wound on his lone arm having split open again from the cold. Blood seeped through the bandages, dripping scarlet dots onto the snow. He gazed toward where the deer had vanished, his eyes full of dread. “We’d best hold our camp steady for now, and not recklessly provoke the creatures of this island again.” Li Guanglong nodded silently. His earlier ...

Seeking Medicine for a Father

When Li Weimin’s decree was issued, reactions across the factions varied. At that moment, Li Wenxing was in his study, weighing the pros and cons of the recent trip to Southern Frontier. Although he hadn’t stood out much, compared to Li Guanglong and Li Juntang, he was still the more capable one. But this minor advantage clearly wasn’t enough to change the overall outcome. Just then, Qian Jin rushed in and reported, “Your Highness! A message from the palace --- His Majesty’s condition has worsened, and he has only a short time left. He has issued a special decree: any royal family member who can journey to Penglai Island and retrieve the elixir will become the future crown prince!” “Future crown prince?” Hearing this, Li Wenxing’s spirits lifted immediately. But soon after, he frowned. He had, of course, heard of Penglai Island --- but only in legends. Whether it truly existed in the East Sea, and whether it held any elixir that could extend life, remained unknown. ...
