Absorbing the Dragon Source Qi

"Your Highness, what should we do now? Do we inform the Pantheon of the Gods about Logan Rhys' whereabouts?" Wan Zhong asked, his face grim.

The Pantheon of the Gods was not to be trifled with --- but neither was Logan Rhys, backed by the West Lucozia Royal Palace.

Although revealing Logan Rhys’ whereabouts to Zeus could put him in danger, the West Lucozia Royal Palace would definitely not let that slide.

"This bastard Li Juntang really threw me into a dilemma!" Li Guanglong's expression was terrifyingly dark.

He finally understood why Li Juntang had diverted the trouble towards him --- partly because he couldn’t handle this massive problem himself, and partly to use a borrowed knife to eliminate an enemy, heavily depleting Li Guanglong’s strength in the process.

Truly a double win.

Rage aside, he had no way out of this mess.

He either offended the Pantheon of the Gods, or offended Logan Rhys.

But thinking it through, this matter originated with Logan Rhys and had nothing to do with him. The grudge between Logan Rhys and the Pantheon had nothing to do with him. Even if both sides were battered in the end, it still wouldn't be his fault --- he was simply trying to protect himself, which was reasonable from every angle.

With that in mind, Li Guanglong stopped hesitating and made a swift decision.

"Go inside and report Logan Rhys' whereabouts to Zeus, and tell him to get the hell out!" Li Guanglong ordered sternly.

"Yes!" Wan Zhong didn’t hesitate, immediately storming into the manor.

No matter how bitter it was, for the sake of the bigger picture and for his prince, he could only swallow his pride.

"Let’s hope nothing goes wrong," Li Guanglong muttered, his brows tightly furrowed, unable to calm his mind.

The reason he sent Wan Zhong to deliver the news himself was to leave himself a way out.

If Zeus actually killed Logan Rhys and the West Lucozia Royal Palace came looking for trouble, he could push all the blame onto Wan Zhong.

It might not be entirely convincing, but at least it would look good on the surface.

Moments later, Wan Zhong came back out, looking grim.

"How did it go? Did Zeus believe it?" Li Guanglong asked.

"Halfway," Wan Zhong reported truthfully. "Zeus said he’ll personally go to Luoxia Mountain. If he finds out we lied, he’ll mobilize the entire Pantheon of the Gods to raze this place to the ground --- and Your Highness will pay a terrible price."

"I’ll ask one more time: are you absolutely sure the information you gathered is accurate?" Li Guanglong pressed.

"Absolutely. Without a doubt," Wan Zhong nodded.

"Then we’re in the clear. Let them fight it out. No matter who dies, it’s none of our concern," Li Guanglong let out a sigh of relief.

At this point, this was the best possible outcome. Whatever happened next, they would just have to take it step by step.

"Master, open a gap in the formation so the Pantheon of the Gods can leave," Li Guanglong called toward the sky.

"Very well." A tall, thin old man responded simply, forming a hand seal, and opened a hole at the top of the Five Elements Blood Fiend Formation.

As soon as the opening appeared, two figures shot out like arrows and disappeared into the sky in the blink of an eye.

At that moment, deep within Luoxia Mountain ---

Inside a naturally formed cave ---

Dustin sat cross-legged in midair with his eyes closed.

Around him floated five glowing orbs radiating a strange light.

Within the orbs swirled dragon-shaped energy currents, constantly flowing.

Each time they flowed, a thread of pure spiritual energy seeped out and entered Dustin's body.

Dustin operated his cultivation technique, following the method taught to him by Margaret, slowly absorbing the Dragon Source Qi.

The process was incredibly slow. Even with Dustin’s extraordinary talent, he couldn’t absorb all five sources of Dragon Qi in a short time.

Margaret did not disturb him, quietly sitting to the side and guarding him.

This natural cave had a unique property: it could conceal spiritual energy signatures, making detection difficult.

In other words, no matter what happened inside the cave, it would be invisible to the outside world.

This was one of the main reasons Margaret had chosen this spot for Dustin to absorb the Dragon Source Qi.

Of course, as a precaution, she had also set up various defensive formations across Luoxia Mountain.

Even an Ultimate Grandmaster-level expert would find it difficult to break in quickly.

In fact, before Dustin began absorbing the Dragon Source Qi, she had specifically used a secret divination method from the Imperial Astronomy Bureau.

The result: fortune and misfortune intertwined --- great luck or utter disaster.

If he succeeded, he would soar like a dragon across the heavens, unstoppable.

If he failed, he would perish completely.

But at this point, there was no choice --- not for her, and not for Dustin.

Danger was closing in. In turbulent times, bold actions were necessary. Hesitation would only lead to missed opportunities.

"Buzz… Buzz…"

Suddenly, Margaret’s waist token began to flash.

It was a warning signal from her subordinates --- flashing meant an enemy was approaching.

Margaret glanced at Dustin, still floating peacefully in cultivation, and said nothing. Instead, she walked to a smooth jade stone and rammed straight into it.

Strangely, the moment her body touched the jade, it dissolved like mist and swallowed her whole.

In the next instant, Margaret was transported from the cave to the mountaintop of Luoxia Mountain.

Life or Death?

At this moment, Hera was completely terrified. When she saw Dustin effortlessly dissolve her attack, she had already started thinking about retreating. Her instincts told her that Dustin was not someone to be trifled with --- he was an extremely dangerous individual. Still, she clung to a sliver of hope, thinking that with Zeus by her side, the two of them together might still stand a chance. But now, after watching Zeus get severely injured and lose an arm with just one strike, she completely panicked. Her strength was already a bit weaker than Zeus’. If even Zeus couldn’t withstand a single strike from Dustin, there was no way she could either. So, the instant she saw Dustin raise his hand again, Hera didn’t hesitate for even a moment. She pushed off with her feet, launching herself into the air like a streak of light, fleeing rapidly into the sky. At this point, all she wanted was to save her own life. As for Zeus’s survival? That was no longer her concern. Rig...

Elder Whitebone

Li Juntang knew the white figure was powerful, but he hadn’t expected it to be this powerful. In just a matter of minutes, the figure had devoured the overwhelming red mist using a technique like a divine dragon drawing in water, leaving not a trace behind. Such divine ability was far beyond anything he could imagine. Seeing it with his own eyes was far more shocking than anything he’d heard. Once the red mist vanished, the white figure waved a hand, and the energy vortex quickly dissipated. A blood-red bead slowly floated down from high above and finally landed in the white figure’s palm. Seeing the opportunity was ripe, Li Juntang immediately channeled his true qi and shouted, “You have dispersed the poisonous mist with divine powers and saved the entire city from disaster. I, Li Juntang, thank you on behalf of the people of this city. May I have the honor of meeting you face to face to express our gratitude properly?” This statement was skillfully crafted --- first, p...

Transcendent and Otherworldly

A burst of golden light suddenly appeared, neutralizing Zeus’s attack and at the same time saving Margaret from having her cultivation abolished. As the golden light gradually faded, a handsome young man emerged before the crowd. His hair was completely white, his clothes were ragged, but his entire being exuded a transcendent and otherworldly aura. He stood there silently in front of Margaret, like an unshakable mountain. “Dustin?” Seeing the white-haired, handsome man, Margaret finally let out a long breath of relief. She knew she was saved --- and so was everyone in the ancient temple. Although Dustin now had white hair, his appearance hadn’t changed much. But the aura he carried was now touched with an undefinable trace of divinity --- something she had never sensed before. And that alone was enough to prove that Dustin had broken through to a new realm. “You’ve worked hard.” Dustin turned and gave Margaret a gentle nod. A strand of golden light suddenly pou...
