Plan

“Who is it?!”

General Long Wei clenched the steel knife in his hand tightly, his eyes full of vigilance and ferocity, like a frightened beast.

In the past few days, he was like a frightened bird. He hardly closed his eyes and kept his nerves tense all the time, fearing that danger would suddenly come.

“Squeak!”

The door was slowly pushed open, and an old man with gray hair walked in steadily, holding a tray of fruit snacks in both hands.

Before Lao Yu could see the situation in the house clearly, there was a flash of cold light, and General Long Wei's steel knife was already on his neck.

"Bang!" The old man was so frightened that his whole body trembled. The fruit plate in his hand fell to the ground instantly, and the fruits and snacks were scattered all over the floor.

"General, don't be nervous. This is one of our own." Liu Jun hurried forward, stretched out his finger and gently pressed down the blade of General Long Wei's knife. With a warm smile on his face, he explained, "His name is Wu Bo, he is a mute, and he has served the Temple of the Gods for many years. On weekdays, he is the one who guards this secret line, and there has never been any mistake."

"Mute?" General Long Wei looked Uncle Wu up and down, and only after confirming that he posed no threat did he slowly put away his steel knife.

"Uncle Wu, has there been any unusual movement here recently?" Liu Jun turned around and asked the old man softly.

Uncle Wu shook his head and then gestured quickly with his hands.

General Long Wei was confused and couldn't help asking, "What does he mean by this gesture?"

"Uncle Wu said that this place is extremely remote and there are no strangers approaching us at all. We are very safe." Liu Jun explained.

The Pantheon naturally had far-reaching considerations in choosing this place as the secret exit. This is a remote mountain village with a secluded location and a sparse population. Most of the villagers are elderly and children. Most young people have gone to the city to find jobs.

Furthermore, the mountains here are high and the forests are dense. Once they encounter danger, they can quickly get rid of the pursuit by escaping into the mountains and forests. It is undoubtedly an excellent temporary place to stay.

"Of course it couldn't be safer, but I'm hungry right now, so ask him to get me something to eat." General Long Wei ordered.

"Uncle Wu, go prepare some food. We need a good meal." Liu Jun said.

Uncle Wu nodded, with a hint of fear in his eyes, looked at General Long Wei, turned around and left quickly.

An hour later, a table of dishes was served. The dishes are not rich, but the portions are large and most of them are meat. There are all kinds of cured fish, cured meat, sausages, chicken and duck.

Under normal circumstances, General Long Wei would probably not even look at such crudely processed food. But he ate with gusto, his mouth full of oil, and he was really hungry.

He had hardly eaten a grain of rice since he was wanted. When faced with this table of food, he could not care whether the food was delicious or not.

However, before picking up the chopsticks, General Long Wei was still cautious and signaled Wu Bo and Liu Jun to test the poison first. After confirming that everything was correct, he opened his stomach and started to eat voraciously.

After having a good meal and a good drink, General Long Wei finally got down to business and said, "Although we have escaped from the royal city, we are still in West Lucozia after all. The longer we stay here, the more dangerous it will be. I need you, the Pantheon, to arrange for me to go abroad as soon as possible."

"General, please be patient. This place is still safe in the short term." Liu Jun said with a smile, "Besides, even if we want to leave West Lucozia, we must make thorough preparations. If we act rashly without any plan, it is very easy to get into trouble."

"So what are your plans now?" General Long Wei asked.

"General Long Wei, you are already wanted. It is obviously impossible for you to leave West Lucozia through normal channels. You can only sneak across the border." Liu Jun picked up the teacup and took a sip.

"Smuggling?" General Long Wei frowned slightly. "I remember that there is a Bohai Kingdom between West Lucozia and Dengta Kingdom. If we want to sneak across, don't we have to go to Bohai Kingdom first?"

"That's right." Liu Jun nodded. "We, the Pantheon, have a huge influence in Bohai. As long as you, the Great General, arrive successfully, you won't have to hide anymore. You can go to the Lighthouse Country openly and enjoy the life of a free man."

"If this is really possible, then it would be perfect. However, which smuggling route do you plan to choose? Is its safety guaranteed?" General Long Wei asked again.

"I have screened out five little-known smuggling routes in advance. As for which one to choose, I have to send someone to investigate first, just in case." Liu Jun said.

"Yes, I admire your working style. Once I have established myself in the Lighthouse Country, I will definitely not treat you unfairly!" General Long Wei nodded with a smile.

"General, you should take a rest while we still have time. When the time is right, we will go abroad immediately." Liu Jun said.

"Okay, ask someone to arrange a room for me. I need to have a good sleep. No one is allowed to disturb me until I wake up." General Long Wei was obviously much more relaxed.

Now that he had escaped from the royal city, the danger level was greatly reduced. In addition, Liu Jun had arranged everything, so he didn't have to worry anymore and could finally sleep peacefully. - Ton

Life or Death?

At this moment, Hera was completely terrified. When she saw Dustin effortlessly dissolve her attack, she had already started thinking about retreating. Her instincts told her that Dustin was not someone to be trifled with --- he was an extremely dangerous individual. Still, she clung to a sliver of hope, thinking that with Zeus by her side, the two of them together might still stand a chance. But now, after watching Zeus get severely injured and lose an arm with just one strike, she completely panicked. Her strength was already a bit weaker than Zeus’. If even Zeus couldn’t withstand a single strike from Dustin, there was no way she could either. So, the instant she saw Dustin raise his hand again, Hera didn’t hesitate for even a moment. She pushed off with her feet, launching herself into the air like a streak of light, fleeing rapidly into the sky. At this point, all she wanted was to save her own life. As for Zeus’s survival? That was no longer her concern. Rig...

Elder Whitebone

Li Juntang knew the white figure was powerful, but he hadn’t expected it to be this powerful. In just a matter of minutes, the figure had devoured the overwhelming red mist using a technique like a divine dragon drawing in water, leaving not a trace behind. Such divine ability was far beyond anything he could imagine. Seeing it with his own eyes was far more shocking than anything he’d heard. Once the red mist vanished, the white figure waved a hand, and the energy vortex quickly dissipated. A blood-red bead slowly floated down from high above and finally landed in the white figure’s palm. Seeing the opportunity was ripe, Li Juntang immediately channeled his true qi and shouted, “You have dispersed the poisonous mist with divine powers and saved the entire city from disaster. I, Li Juntang, thank you on behalf of the people of this city. May I have the honor of meeting you face to face to express our gratitude properly?” This statement was skillfully crafted --- first, p...

Transcendent and Otherworldly

A burst of golden light suddenly appeared, neutralizing Zeus’s attack and at the same time saving Margaret from having her cultivation abolished. As the golden light gradually faded, a handsome young man emerged before the crowd. His hair was completely white, his clothes were ragged, but his entire being exuded a transcendent and otherworldly aura. He stood there silently in front of Margaret, like an unshakable mountain. “Dustin?” Seeing the white-haired, handsome man, Margaret finally let out a long breath of relief. She knew she was saved --- and so was everyone in the ancient temple. Although Dustin now had white hair, his appearance hadn’t changed much. But the aura he carried was now touched with an undefinable trace of divinity --- something she had never sensed before. And that alone was enough to prove that Dustin had broken through to a new realm. “You’ve worked hard.” Dustin turned and gave Margaret a gentle nod. A strand of golden light suddenly pou...
