At night, in the inner city, in a hidden mansion.

Two young men were playing leisurely.

The man on the left was Mark Montgomery, who had visited the Duncan family not long ago.

The burly man in fancy clothes on the right was the second prince Li Guanglong.

The two were concentrating on playing chess on the board, sometimes making moves quickly, sometimes thinking carefully.

After about a cup of tea, Mark Montgomery finally gave up and admitted defeat.

"Brother Mark, I haven't seen you for a few days. Your chess skills have improved. I almost lost to you." Li Guanglong stroked his beard, looking a little surprised.

"Your Highness is too flattering. Compared with you, my chess skills are really not worth mentioning. If it weren't for you letting me go, I would have lost long ago. How could I have been dealing with you for so long?" Mark Montgomery said with a smile.

"Hahahaha... You are still so good at talking." Li Guanglong laughed loudly, looking quite proud.

He only likes to win, not to lose. Whether it's fighting or playing chess, he wants to be the first.

"We've eaten and played chess, let's talk about business."

After Li Guanglong ordered people to remove the chessboard, he wiped his hands with a white towel and said, "Brother Mark, the situation in Stonia is getting more and more tense now. The candidate for the crown prince has been undecided. I can't eat or sleep well all day, and I'm anxious!

Since you choose to support me, you should do more and decide the position of the crown prince as soon as possible, so that I can feel at ease."

"Your Highness, our Montgomery Palace is already operating at full capacity. Half of the forces in the eight wealthy families have been recruited by us. Many important officials in the court have also joined our camp. It is no exaggeration to say that among the many princes, you are now the most powerful one." Mark Montgomery lowered his head slightly.

"These are far from enough."

Li Guanglong shook his head: "Those old foxes in the court are all fence-sitters, and they are not trustworthy at all. As for the so-called eight wealthy families, they are just icing on the cake and can't play a decisive role at all. Only the four royal families can influence my father's decision and the entire court!"

As he said, Li Guanglong glanced at Mark Montgomery and said meaningfully: "Your Montgomery family has supported me, what is the attitude of the other three families?"

To become the crown prince, he must get the support of at least two or even three of the four royal families.

Of course, if all four royal families stand on his side, then the position of crown prince will be a matter of course.

"I have contacted the Bryant family and the Duncan family."

Mark Montgomery said: "The Bryant family has expressed its attitude and is ready to marry our Montgomery Palace. The two direct lines will be married soon. As for the Duncan family, it will take a few more days to consider."

"Then what about the Spanner family?" Li Guanglong asked back.

Whether it is the Bryant family or the Duncan family, they are far inferior to the Spanner family. Getting the support of the Spanner family is the most important.

"The Spanner family seems to be very close to His Royal Highness the Third Prince. I have been blocked several times when I visited them. It is difficult to win them over." Mark Montgomery shook his head.

The Spanner family is powerful and has a deep foundation. They don't need to look at the face of the Montgomery Palace at all. Coercion and inducement will not work at all.

"It seems that the third brother has some means to tie the Spanner family to his own boat."

Li Guanglong nodded thoughtfully, and then suddenly asked: "Oh, by the way, is there any movement from Li Wenxing?"

"The eldest prince lives in seclusion and rarely contacts people. Among the eight wealthy families, there are one or two families who are very close to the eldest prince. The rest are small and medium-sized forces that are opportunistic and cannot be put on the stage." Mark Montgomery replied.

"My eldest brother is neither good at literature nor martial arts, and he has a sickly body. It's ridiculous that such a person wants to be the crown prince!" Li Guanglong sneered.

A sickly person can only live a few years. Isn't it asking for trouble to learn from others to fight for power and profit?

"The eldest prince is not to be feared, but the third prince has extremely good connections and power, and he has the support of the Spanner family. He is a tough opponent." Mark Montgomery analyzed.

"So your core task now is to win over the Duncan family. Don't let them join the third brother, otherwise we will suffer." Li Guanglong warned seriously.

He now has the support of the Montgomery family and the Bryant family. If there is more Duncan family, the hope of becoming the crown prince will be greatly increased.

On the contrary, if the Duncan family is recruited by the third brother Li Juntang, the two sides will be in a two-on-two situation, and no one will get the upper hand.

At that time, the two sides will definitely fight fiercely.

"Don't worry, Your Highness. I will do everything I can to get the Duncan family to join you!" Mark Montgomery promised.

"Very good!" Li Guanglong nodded with satisfaction: "After the matter is accomplished, you will be the first to contribute, and I will definitely reward you greatly!"

"Thank you, Your Highness!" Mark Montgomery hurriedly bowed his hands.

"There is one more thing, you need to pay attention to it for me." Li Guanglong suddenly said again.

"Your Highness, just give orders." Mark Montgomery lowered his head slightly.

"You should know about West Lucozia. Rufus Rhys will not live for many days. The heir of the palace will most likely fall to Logan Rhys. Some time ago, I had contact with Logan Rhys. This kid is quite scheming and has not made a clear statement so far. I need you to check for me what weaknesses this kid has and use them as much as possible." Li Guanglong narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Logan Rhys?" Mark Montgomery's pupils shrank, and then he nodded heavily: "I understand, I will do it right away."

"Go, don't let me down." Li Guanglong waved his hand.

Mark Montgomery bowed deeply and turned to leave.

Winning over Logan Rhys is much more troublesome than winning over the Duncan family. - Ton

While reading the line - to find weakness of Logan Rhys and used it for benefits of second prince; it make me to think second prince will not be declared as Crown prince.

Seeking Medicine for a Father

When Li Weimin’s decree was issued, reactions across the factions varied. At that moment, Li Wenxing was in his study, weighing the pros and cons of the recent trip to Southern Frontier. Although he hadn’t stood out much, compared to Li Guanglong and Li Juntang, he was still the more capable one. But this minor advantage clearly wasn’t enough to change the overall outcome. Just then, Qian Jin rushed in and reported, “Your Highness! A message from the palace --- His Majesty’s condition has worsened, and he has only a short time left. He has issued a special decree: any royal family member who can journey to Penglai Island and retrieve the elixir will become the future crown prince!” “Future crown prince?” Hearing this, Li Wenxing’s spirits lifted immediately. But soon after, he frowned. He had, of course, heard of Penglai Island --- but only in legends. Whether it truly existed in the East Sea, and whether it held any elixir that could extend life, remained unknown. ...

The Swarm of Man-Eating Fish

Dustin landed lightly back on the shattered deck, the golden glow on his longsword gradually fading. Across the sea’s surface, dark green blood floated in thick patches, slowly dispersing in the rain. Far in the distance, the typhoon had vanished without warning. A gap opened in the clouds, allowing sunlight to break through at last, casting warm rays onto the ravaged Wavebreaker . Margaret steadied herself against the swaying rail, gazing out at the now-calm sea, a long sigh of relief escaping her lips. That octopus demon just now had the power of an Ultimate Grandmaster --- its enormous body and terrifying regenerative abilities made it nearly invincible. Even most Ultimate Grandmasters wouldn’t stand a chance against such a monster. Thankfully, they had Dustin. If he hadn't been there, who knows how many lives would have been lost? At last, the sea had calmed, and the storm was receding. The Wavebreaker floated gently atop the waves. The deck was in ruins, littered ...

Breaking The Siege

“Boom!!” A thunderous crash shook the earth. The moment the white figure landed, golden gales erupted from around him. The zombies that had rushed close were instantly shattered, as if colliding with an invisible barrier. Their grayish bodies exploded into fragments. Thick blackish-brown corpse fluid splattered onto the stone bricks, releasing foul-smelling steam that coiled into the air. “It’s that peerless master!” Someone shouted from within the inner gate fortress, and the once-terrified citizens suddenly erupted in thunderous cheers. When the red mist crisis had hit Lincheng, they had seen it with their own eyes --- a divine figure in white had absorbed the entire mist with unfathomable powers, saving the city from destruction. Now, with zombies besieging their ancient stronghold, seeing that familiar white figure again was like witnessing the return of their savior. “He’s finally here!” Li Guanglong, gripping his bloodstained saber, let out a long sigh of reli...
