"Dad, what do you think?" Kangjian Duncan turned his eyes and looked at Duke Duncan.

"When a guest comes to visit, we naturally cannot lose our manners and invite him to the living room to discuss." Duke Duncan said lightly.

Mark Montgomery represents the Montgomery Palace. No matter what the other party is thinking, he cannot refuse him.

As for the so-called marriage, it needs to be carefully considered.

"Yes!"

The housekeeper responded and left quickly.

"You continue to eat, I'll go meet the people from the Montgomery Palace."

After saying hello, Duke Duncan got up and left.

The three Duncan brothers looked at each other and followed him without any prior agreement.

They wanted to see what the Montgomery Palace was up to.

"Okay, okay, they can handle it, let's eat our own food."

Old Mrs. Duncan smiled and said, motioning everyone to continue eating.

Three minutes later, in the living room of the Duncan family.

Old man Duke Duncan sat at the first seat at the main entrance, and the three brothers of the Duncan family sat on the left, in order from oldest to youngest.

At this time, the housekeeper led a few people and walked quickly into the living room.

The leader was a young man with a handsome face, excellent temperament, and a pair of bright eyes, which sometimes showed a gleam of light.

This man was Mark Montgomery, one of the four young masters of Stonia, known as the Jade-faced God of War.

Behind Mark Montgomery, there was also a white-haired old man and two strong middle-aged men.

The white-haired old man was about the same age as Duke Duncan. Although his face was haggard, he was full of energy.

When he walked, he took a square step and put his hands behind his back, which was quite domineering.

The old man was Wuchang Montgomery, the uncle of Prince Montgomery and the grandfather of Mark Montgomery.

In the entire Montgomery Palace, Wuchang Montgomery has a very high status. Almost no one dares to offend him. Even Prince Montgomery has to show respect when he sees him.

As for the two middle-aged strong men behind Wuchang Montgomery, they are guests of the Montgomery Palace, masters of the Grandmaster level, and their status is also good.

However, here, they can only play the role of bodyguards.

"Junior Mark Montgomery, meet Duke Duncan, meet the three uncles."

After entering the door, Mark Montgomery bowed politely.

He was smiling and graceful, and he looked very pleasing at first glance.

"Why didn't you notify us in advance that you are a distinguished guest so that we can prepare early." Duke Duncan smiled faintly.

"Junior's visit is really a bit abrupt. Please forgive Duke Duncan." Mark Montgomery bowed again.

He naturally heard the meaning of Duke Duncan's words, but he did not pretend to be stupid, but apologized very frankly.

This attitude surprised the three brothers of the Duncan family.

Based on their understanding of Mark Montgomery, he is a person who is very arrogant.

At a young age, he holds a high position, commands a large number of troops, and is very arrogant.

Although he is not arrogant, he is also a master who is arrogant.

When he came to visit today, he did not show his former sharpness at all.

Has he become mature and restrained?

"General Montgomery is visiting the Duncan family. I wonder if you have any advice?" Duke Duncan got straight to the point.

"Before explaining the purpose of your visit, let me introduce you first."

Mark Montgomery moved aside and then extended his hand to the white-haired old man Wuchang Montgomery: "This is my third master. He is highly respected in the Montgomery Palace, but he usually stays at home and rarely shows up."

"So it's the third master Wuchang. I have heard of your name for a long time."

Duke Duncan stood up and clasped his fists.

He had naturally heard of the name of Wuchang Montgomery, the third master of the Montgomery family.

Although he was not as famous as his two brothers, he also had a heavy weight in the Montgomery Palace.

"It's been a long time since I last saw Duke Duncan. He is still strong and healthy. Today, I see that he is indeed as good as his reputation says." Wuchang Montgomery politely returned the greeting.

But there was no smile on his face, and he looked quite stiff.

In fact, in his heart, he didn't take Duke Duncan seriously at all.

Looking at the whole Stonia, the Montgomery Palace is the supreme existence second only to the imperial power.

Among the four major royal families, the Duncan family, the Bryant family, and the Spanner family all have to stand behind.

Especially the Duncan family, the weakest force among the four major royal families, is a world away from the Montgomery Palace.

Although Duke Duncan is in a high position, in his opinion, he is just a dying old man who will not live for many years.

Once Duke Duncan dies, the Duncan family will be in a period of transition and will become even weaker. At that time, they will not even be qualified to carry shoes for the Montgomery Palace.

"Mr. Wuchang, thank you for your compliment."

Duke Duncan could see Wuchang Montgomery's cold attitude, and said with a fake smile: "General Montgomery invited Mr. Wuchang this time. I think there must be something important?"

"Duke Duncan has a keen eye. I admire you."

Mark Montgomery first flattered him, and then said: "I am here on behalf of the Montgomery Palace to discuss marriage with the Duncan family."

"Marriage?" Duke Duncan raised his eyebrows and did not continue.

"Yes, marriage."

Mark Montgomery smiled and said: "Throughout the ages, marriage has been the best choice to enhance the relationship between the two families and maintain power. The Montgomery Palace and the Duncan family are both one of the four major royal families. If our two families can have a marriage, they will grow stronger in the future."

"Is this your idea, or your Lord Montgomery's idea?" Duke Duncan asked tentatively.

Royal marriage is not a trivial matter.

If it was a collateral line, it would be fine. But if it was a direct line marriage, it would easily cause the royal family to be wary.

As the saying goes, the merits are greater than the master. Once the royal families unite and work together, they may threaten the imperial power.

In this regard, the four royal families and the royal family have maintained the same tacit understanding. From beginning to end, no one has crossed this red line.

And today Mark Montgomery secretly came to the door, obviously to climb up on the red line.

So he had to figure out, is it Mark Montgomery who is determined to do it? Or is Lord Eugene Montgomery ambitious? - Ton

It is a great job that you have been posting latest updates. Hats Off. I have a suggestion, please try to be consistent with the names of the characters. Thank you very much

We have already addressed this concern over at our Discord server. Anyway, let me summarize it here. We are consistent with the Dustin, Logan, Margaret, etc translated names. That we will maintain throughout the novel BUT won't introduce new names. If you are referring to the Dustin, Dustin again as Logan, Grace naming system, we don't follow that.

Seeking Medicine for a Father

When Li Weimin’s decree was issued, reactions across the factions varied. At that moment, Li Wenxing was in his study, weighing the pros and cons of the recent trip to Southern Frontier. Although he hadn’t stood out much, compared to Li Guanglong and Li Juntang, he was still the more capable one. But this minor advantage clearly wasn’t enough to change the overall outcome. Just then, Qian Jin rushed in and reported, “Your Highness! A message from the palace --- His Majesty’s condition has worsened, and he has only a short time left. He has issued a special decree: any royal family member who can journey to Penglai Island and retrieve the elixir will become the future crown prince!” “Future crown prince?” Hearing this, Li Wenxing’s spirits lifted immediately. But soon after, he frowned. He had, of course, heard of Penglai Island --- but only in legends. Whether it truly existed in the East Sea, and whether it held any elixir that could extend life, remained unknown. ...

The Swarm of Man-Eating Fish

Dustin landed lightly back on the shattered deck, the golden glow on his longsword gradually fading. Across the sea’s surface, dark green blood floated in thick patches, slowly dispersing in the rain. Far in the distance, the typhoon had vanished without warning. A gap opened in the clouds, allowing sunlight to break through at last, casting warm rays onto the ravaged Wavebreaker . Margaret steadied herself against the swaying rail, gazing out at the now-calm sea, a long sigh of relief escaping her lips. That octopus demon just now had the power of an Ultimate Grandmaster --- its enormous body and terrifying regenerative abilities made it nearly invincible. Even most Ultimate Grandmasters wouldn’t stand a chance against such a monster. Thankfully, they had Dustin. If he hadn't been there, who knows how many lives would have been lost? At last, the sea had calmed, and the storm was receding. The Wavebreaker floated gently atop the waves. The deck was in ruins, littered ...

Frozen Wasteland

The ice sculptures shimmered with a cold light in the biting wind, the soldiers’ twisted faces sealed inside the crystalized frost, as if still crying out from the agony of being frozen alive. Li Guanglong stared at those figures, his Adam’s apple rolling a few times as he forced down the tremor in his chest. He raised a hand to rub his still-stiff arm. The spot that had been swept by the white mist earlier was still faintly bruised with purplish-blue, the chill seeming to seep deep into his very bones. “Your Highness, that spirit deer carries a poisonous cold beyond imagination.” Wan Zhong leaned on his blade as he walked over, the wound on his lone arm having split open again from the cold. Blood seeped through the bandages, dripping scarlet dots onto the snow. He gazed toward where the deer had vanished, his eyes full of dread. “We’d best hold our camp steady for now, and not recklessly provoke the creatures of this island again.” Li Guanglong nodded silently. His earlier ...
